Welcome

Welcome,

The Yale Undergraduate Lincoln Association is brand new and here to stay! We are an organization of students dedicated to studying the Sixteenth President and furthering his academic presence on Yale’s campus. We could not be more excited to start our inaugural semester, and hope you will join us for one of our weekly meetings.

Our Mission:

Yalies study and prepare to enter a complicated, fluid, and uncertain world. The Yale Undergraduate Lincoln Association hopes to find, derive, and discuss meaning in the words and actions of the 16nth President of the United States. In doing so, we hope not only to foster a feeling of community out of a shared academic interest in the great president, but also to discover useful ideas and practices for our lives at and beyond Yale. Abraham Lincoln spoke with power and acted with purpose. Through the study of these aspects of the Great Emancipator, we look to learn about the process of affecting change while keeping a constant eye toward the current world.
